Watershed Books will host a publication of “My Father Was a Crop Duster” by Bert Atwood on Friday, March 7 from 3:30 until 5:00pm.  Have you wondered what kind of person becomes a crop duster? how did the biplane dusters of the 20th century evolve?  What did it take to build and maintain California’s largest fleet of dusters?In “My Father Was a Crop Duster” discover how pilots learn to crop dust;how biplanes were transformed into crop dusting work horses; humorous incidents, dangerous incidents and near misses.  Mr. Atwood shares stories of pilots who won big at the Reno air races and pilots who pioneered night time crop dusting, and how his family built a crop dusting empire.  Bert’s inside stories are just great, as his his beautiful book; with over 200 photos.  Mr. Atwood will be signing books as well.  We’ll provide refreshments.
