Other thoughts…spring has been flower-filled this year, though we had hoped for more rain. The lake is abundant with lots of fish and many varieties [though less numbers] of birds. A little insect called around here rice fly has been abundant too. They don’t bite or sting but their swarms are awesome high in the sky.
Barbara Kinsolver’s Animal, Vegetable, Miracle is out in paperback. Many are still enjoying Eckhardt Tolle’s New Earth; local author Todd Walton has written a jewel of a book, Buddha in a Teacup, which I so enjoyed.
The bookstore has lots of used gardening books [indeed lots a great used books generally] and can order just about anything.
Looking forward to seeing [and hearing] you at the slam. Happy Spring!
If I still ived in California I’d be there with my upcoming book, “The Narrow Gate, A Journey Through Identity, Belief, and Perception.”
In Peace, Joe
